Now Booking Late Summer and Fall Family Photo Sessions | Maris Ehlers Photography

If you haven't had family portraits done in a while, now is the perfect time to book a session with Maris Ehlers Photography.  We are currently booking sessions in August and September.  Since this is also a heavy booking time for high school senior sessions, we encourage you to book now even if the session date is later in the fall.  

I first photographed this family almost two years ago on a very blustery Friday in November (the day after Thanksgiving, to be exact).  We chose to do a summer session this year, which gives them two entirely different looks.  Not only have the kids grown and changed in that year and a half, but the color palette, environment and overall feel for the session is completely different than what we shot last time.  

Some people think that only fall family photos in Minnesota will do.  While we agree the color is indeed glorious, the time frame is very short.  So consider booking early to take away a little bit of the time crunch, especially as the kids aren't in school yet over these last weeks of summer.  

Scheduling can get very complicated once the kids are back in school and fall activities are in full swing. 

Here is a preview of a family session Angel and I shot last evening.  You'd never guess it was almost 90 degrees out! 

Rachel specifically asked to see some of the images with artistic edits. What a fun way to jazz up an already beautiful photo of her. 

Steph is back from studying in Spain for 6 months, and is now getting ready to head back East for her final year of college.  

Mike, recently graduated, is now ready to take on the real world!

I love that clients are learning to move away from completely matching clothing.  This looks much more natural and relaxed. 

One of the things I love about photographing returning clients is that everyone knows what to expect and the sessions are typically much more relaxed.  

Family sessions are $100 for families up to four people, and $130 for families between 5 and 8 people (including grandparents).  For groups larger than eight, please email us at angel@marisehlersphotography.com   for an accurate quote.
