Childrens Portraits with Farm Animals | Maris Ehlers Photography

I've been photographing Piper since she was born, and from the get go she has had the most beautiful blue eyes.  

Now as a toddler, she is simply stunning.  

Her parents wanted to capture her on her grandparent's farm with her pony Blueberry.  We decided to add Ollie here and I am totally enamored with this look of hers.  It wasn't posed - she just lifted her hand towards her face, and click.  

I love it because it's unique, but mostly because it captures a moment and a memory, long after Piper and Ollie are grown.  

Capturing children in the morning is really the best time of day for them until they are school aged.  Morning sun can be tricky, but here we shot pretty early in the morning when the dappled sunlight wasn't quite as strong and high.
