My Spring Evening Photographs | Maris Ehlers Photography

The MEP Spring Photo Contest is accepting submissions until 5/15/11 at Midnight.  Don't forget to send them in to:  contest@marisehlersphotography.com.  If you want to see the complete rules, you can view them here.

I always enjoy seeing the pictures that other send in, but I want to participate, too.  :)  So I decided to take a stroll around the front yard this evening as the sun is setting and before the storms hit.  Here are a few images that say "spring" to me.

Now this is natural backlighting!  1/800 sec f/2.8 ISO 100 (Canon Zoom Lens EF 70-200mm 1:2.8 L IS USM)

In a couple of weeks, this hydrangea tree will be filled with leaves, and this spring's occupants will have moved in.  1/160 at f/2.8 (EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM)
